Altana is the network for trusted trade. Our AI-powered product network empowers governments and businesses to build a more resilient and secure global economy while keeping trade flowing.

The Opportunity at Altana

As Altana enters its next chapter of growth, we're looking for a high-impact, mission-driven talent leader to lead our talent acquisition function and build a world-class organization capable of delivering on our most ambitious goals. The work at Altana directly addresses critical global challenges across human rights, environmental sustainability, and economic growth - and this is the chance to build the engine that finds and attracts the people who solve them.

You'll shape Altana's future by ensuring every team has the brilliant, driven, mission-aligned individuals it needs to scale a generational company and leave a lasting positive impact on the global economy and society.

This role will step into a strong existing talent acquisition team and operate as a player-coach, focused on modeling and mentoring a best-in-class talent function.

You Will
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer, People Team, and leaders across Altana to ensure talent acquisition is a strategic catalyst for Altana's growth.
  • Lead and mentor Altana's existing team of recruiters as a hands-on player-coach, modeling best-in-class recruiting and setting the team up to succeed.
  • Help shape and execute a global talent acquisition strategy that matches Altana's quality standards, operating speed, and business complexity.
  • Own executive search and end-to-end recruitment on critical, high impact roles, partnering with a vetted ecosystem of trusted external partners where needed.
  • Equip the team to partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, department-specific hiring strategies, and building robust talent pipelines that accelerate business objectives.
  • Drive excellence across the full recruiting lifecycle, (from market positioning and employer branding to sourcing, screening, and closing) ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and a diverse, high-quality pipeline through an equitable, inclusive process.
  • Advance operational excellence in the Talent function, leveraging data, metrics, and scalable systems (including AI-powered tools and automation) to improve efficiency, accountability, and impact
  • Support talent strategy and execution for continued global expansion across NYC, DC, London, and remote teams.
You Have
  • 12+ years in talent acquisition, including 4+ years leading and developing recruiting teams, ideally in high growth tech environments.
  • Proven success leading end-to-end Talent Acquisition strategy and operations in a high-growth, fast-scaling, tech environment (preferably with added complexity such as AI, fintech, data platforms, supply chain, or public-sector).
  • Proven track record and passion for the art and science of recruiting, with a desire to still be hands on with critical, high-impact roles.
  • Strategic business partner with the ability to collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, identifying data-driven insights on talent acquisition lifecycle to drive improvements in our talent strategy and execution.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing, global recruiting teams in a high-impact culture.
  • Deep experience in full-lifecycle recruiting, executive search, and data-driven talent sourcing strategies.
  • Experience leading transformation efforts, aligning talent acquisition efforts with new and emerging technology such as AI-powered processes and automation to accelerate business objectives.

This role is currently based in Brooklyn, NY, USA until a planned office relocation to Manhattan in the Summer of 2027. Candidates must be within commuting distance from our current and future…
