Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support the accurate and timely processing of payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll administration, wage garnishments, benefit deductions, payroll audits, and maintaining accurate employee payroll data. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive payroll and employee information.

* Key Responsibilities
**

• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees accurately and within established payroll deadlines.
• Assist with entering, processing, and paying employee wage garnishments.
• Process property payroll transfer reports and related payroll transactions.
• Review and verify employee benefit deductions for accuracy.
• Conduct payroll audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll data.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll-related issues.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, corrections, and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation and payroll information.
• Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable company policies and procedures.
• Provide support to the leadership team with payroll, accounting, and other related projects as assigned.

* Qualifications
**

• Previous experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, accounting, or a related function preferred.
• Experience processing payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
• Knowledge of wage garnishments, payroll deductions, and employee benefits preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to audit payroll information and identify discrepancies.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information appropriately.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Candidates with previous experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Associate, Payroll Clerk, or Accounting/Payroll Assistant are encouraged to apply.
