SAP Utilities Functional Consultant - Poland

We are seeking an experienced SAP Utilities Functional Consultant to join our team and support a greenfield SAP Cloud for Utilities implementation. This role focuses on the Meter-to-Cash process and requires deep expertise in SAP IS-U, market communication, billing, smart metering, and energy data management. You will work closely with clients to design and implement scalable, compliant, and future‑ready solutions.

• Have a broad business skill set including stakeholder management, problem‑solving, and resilience
• Have experience in gathering, validating, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating data and information for a range of audiences
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in country's official language(s) (C2 proficiency) and English (C2 proficiency), project‑related mobility/willingness to travel
• Support our clients with SAP IS-U and S/4
  
  HANA Utilities, especially in billing, market communication, energy data management and smart metering.
• Analyze business processes and design optimized SAP solutions tailored to DSO operations
• Lead integration and implementation of SAP modules across energy industry systems
• Manage project teams through concept realization, rollout, and quality assurance
• Take ownership of project management tasks and contribute to IT strategy development
  
  Collaborate with technical teams and contribute to solution architecture
• Mentor junior consultants and support hiring initiatives
• Communicate fluently in German (C2) and English (C2) and are willing to travel for project‑related work

• 10+ years of SAP IS-U experience in consulting or in‑house roles
• Deep expertise in at least one of the following:
• Marktkommunikation (Format, IDEX, MPM ehem. Common Layer, MaCo Cloud)
• Billing (tariffing, MOS billing, feeder, redispatch)
• Smart Metering/Device Management (GV, IM4G, GWA, MDM, MPM formerly Common Layer)
• Energy data management
• Strong affinity for IT and experience with ABAP, debugging, and functional design
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex SAP projects
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field

• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA Utilities implementation and migration
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud for Utilities and cloud‑based SAP solutions
• Familiarity with German energy market regulations and DSO‑specific processes
• SAP Certification in IS-U or S/4
  
  HANA Utilities
• Experience in digital transformation projects for utility companies
