Wholesale Banking B&I Reporting Analyst

Summary

The Wholesale Banking B&I Reporting Analyst will support the development and delivery of business intelligence and reporting solutions for the Wholesale Banking Division. The role focuses on creating, maintaining, and analyzing BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to provide actionable insights for stakeholders. The analyst will ensure data accuracy, comply with regulatory requirements, and support the division’s strategic objectives by delivering high-quality analytics and reporting.

• Develop and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Generate accurate and timely reports on financial performance, risk exposure, client profitability, and market trends.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures and validation processes.
• Assist in maintaining data governance standards to comply with banking regulations such as Dodd‑Frank.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, Python scripts, or other data querying tools to extract and transform data.
• Support integration of BI tools with core banking platforms, CRM systems, and other data sources.
• Contribute to automation of reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Work with relationship managers, product teams, and risk management to understand data and reporting needs.
• Present data insights clearly to support decision‑making by non‑technical stakeholders.
• Respond to ad‑hoc data and reporting requests from internal teams.
• Stay updated on BI tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Provide recommendations for improving data processes and visualization techniques.
• Support implementation of new BI tools or features as directed by the Wholesale Banking Technology Director.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver tailored analytical solutions and champion best‑in‑class transformation and innovation.
• Work closely with technology partners on architecture reviews and ensure solutions are aligned and reusable.
• Adhere to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including anti‑money laundering requirements.
• Complete required training and report suspicious activity.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

• 5‑7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Experience in Wholesale Banking is a plus.
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., AWS, EC2, Lambda, Athena, Glue) preferred.
• Experience with data modeling, predictive analytics, or machine learning techniques preferred.
• 4+ years of direct relevant experience in the financial sector.
• 4+ years of experience in data analysis.
• Experience working in an agile framework and Jira preferred.

• Strong knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
• Experience with data warehouse, ETL process, or cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Redshift, EC2, Lambda, Athena, Glue.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) or core banking platform is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to present complex insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Understanding of Wholesale Banking products and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements related to data and reporting.
