We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Engineering Director to lead complex, multi-account engineering engagements across the digital health and connected medical solutions landscape. This role is focused on driving engineering excellence, enabling organizational scalability, and strengthening long‑term client partnerships through innovation, technical leadership, and disciplined delivery.
The Engineering Director will oversee distributed teams of 100+ engineers supporting several global and U.S.
-based companies operating in the medical diagnostics, clinical data management, and digital care coordination space. The entrusted portfolio includes technology-driven organizations that deliver software and data platforms for diagnostic and laboratory equipment, EHR/EMR systems, clinical trial and patient management, data analytics, medical device fleet management, and veterinary technology.
In addition to managing existing engagements, the role includes active participation in new client initiatives and pre‑sales activities, contributing to the company’s continued growth and expansion within the digital health and medical technology ecosystem.
This is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role for a professional who combines technical depth, delivery discipline, and business acumen. The ideal candidate understands software–hardware integration, regulatory and quality compliance (FDA, MDR, ISO 13485, IEC 62304), and has a proven record of defining vision, shaping engineering strategy, and executing through empowered, multidisciplinary teams. The position offers significant exposure to multiple product lines and client domains, collaboration with senior leadership, and the opportunity to shape the company’s engineering practice in the fast‑evolving field of connected and data‑driven healthcare.
Requirements- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering or QA, including at least 5 years in engineering management, delivery, or program leadership.
- Proven success leading large‑scale engineering organizations (60–100+ engineers) across multiple concurrent projects or client accounts.
- Strong background in regulated or mission‑critical domains, particularly digital health, medical technology, medical devices, or diagnostics.
- Demonstrated expertise in Regulatory & Quality Compliance, including management under QMS frameworks and compliance with FDA, MDR, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, HIPAA, or equivalent standards.
- In‑depth knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and practical experience in establishing efficient delivery and governance models.
- Proven ability to define strategic goals, translate them into actionable plans, and drive execution across distributed teams.
- Experience with pre‑sales, proposal creation, and solution pitching to global clients; familiarity with NDA/MSA/SOW frameworks and commercial delivery structures.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in English (business and technical contexts); additional European languages are an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
