Associate Professor – Computer Science and Convergence Science

  • Theoretical Computer Science and Algorithms – push the boundaries of computation, complexity and problem‑solving.
  • Artificial Intelligence – develop nature‑inspired, biologically inspired and ethical AI approaches to system design and intelligent decision‑making.
  • Software Engineering – focus on software reliability, verification, testing, security and Dev Ops engineering.
  • Computer Vision and Imaging – advance image and video analysis, 3D reconstruction, medical and scientific imaging and AR/VR applications.

  • Network Security and Vulnerability Analysis – advance the frontier of cybersecurity, privacy and digital resilience.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver inspiring, inclusive and innovative undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Establish a robust and high‑impact research agenda, fostering collaboration across disciplines and attracting external funding.
  • Contribute to the next generation of curricula, emphasizing experiential learning, project‑based education and real‑world applications.
  • Mentor a diverse student population, guiding them toward leadership in emerging fields.
  • Actively contribute to the department, college and university community through service, outreach and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field. ABD candidates considered if the degree will be completed before August 2026.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, mentorship and scholarship.
  • Strong record or promise of research productivity, interdisciplinary collaboration and externally funded projects.
