About The Role As a Sr. Solutions Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of a diverse team working to help developers build more secure applications. Your daily engagements with customers will directly influence the development process, catching vulnerabilities before they go live. You will serve as the technical expert, guiding customers to understand their goals and challenges, integrating our product into their environments, and delivering maximum value.
Location Candidates must be located in San Francisco, CA, or New York, NY.
What You’ll Do- Become an expert on Semgrep and integrate the platform into the software development lifecycle.
- Scope and own each customer engagement with clear objectives and success criteria.
- Articulate how Semgrep differentiates its security capabilities in terms of speed, accuracy, and flexibility.
- Act as a thought leader—write knowledge‑base articles, run workshops, present at events.
- Reduce customer friction by building automation and creating external content.
- Share the voice of the customer to influence the product roadmap.
- Contribute to building a world‑class solutions‑engineering organization by refining and scaling workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- An interest in people and helping them solve technical problems.
- 8+ years working with customers in presales, customer success, or support.
- Experience communicating with executives and operating full sales cycles in large organizations.
- Mentored teams with technical knowledge, business acumen, and industry insight.
- Deep understanding of developer workflows, CI/CD environments (Git Hub Actions, Git Lab, Circle
CI, Jenkins, Buildkite). - Exposure to application security, vulnerability management, and static analysis.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Salary Range: $168,000 – $175,000 USD a year ($240,000 – $250,000 uncapped OTE) for San Francisco Bay Area.
