A leading quantitative trading firm leveraging advanced research, cutting-edge technology, and high-performance infrastructure to trade global markets, are looking to hire a Linux Engineer.
The RoleWe are looking for an exceptional Linux Engineer to join the Core Infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, optimize, and maintain the Linux systems that power the low-latency trading platforms and large-scale research compute clusters. You will collaborate closely with traders, researchers, and developers to ensure the systems are reliable, high-performance, and built for scale.
What You’ll Do- Architect, deploy, and manage Linux systems in highly available, latency-sensitive environments
- Tune kernel parameters, file systems, and networking stacks for ultra-low-latency performance
- Automate operational processes using Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar tools
- Support large compute clusters and distributed systems used for quantitative research
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance across production and simulation environments
- Partner with developers to improve deployment, observability, and runtime efficiency
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to our workloads
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Linux Engineer, SRE, or Systems Administrator
- Expert-level understanding of Linux internals
- Strong experience with performance tuning and debugging low-level system issues
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python or Go or Rust.)
- Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Experience in high-performance, real-time, or large-scale compute environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of low-latency trading infrastructure
- Experience with RDMA, kernel bypass, or high-speed networking
- Exposure to containerisation or orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad)
