Analyst II - Solutions Development

Overview

NYU Langone Health is a fully integrated health system known for high-quality patient outcomes. The organization operates across 6 inpatient locations, the Perlmutter Cancer Center, and over 320 outpatient locations in the New York area and Florida. The system has significant research activity with substantial NIH funding and operates two tuition-free medical schools in Manhattan and on Long Island.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Analyst II - Solutions Development. In this role, the independent contributor is an IT professional applying technical expertise in one or more IT disciplines. The analyst selects, customizes, configures, installs and supports packages, understands the work processes of assigned business areas, collects user requirements and translates them into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems.

Responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of information systems. Receives general direction and work in progress is reviewed routinely.

• Selects appropriate work procedures or approaches to address technical challenges.
• Responsible for the design and development of IT systems.
• Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post-implementation support and system enhancements.
• Provide hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Provide day-to-day assistance with application issues.
• Provide go-live, implementation, and post-implementation support; interact with clinical staff and vendors.
• Educate clinical and administrative staff around new systems and provide application training for a variety of users including physicians, nurses, and other staff on healthcare systems and technologies.
• Receive inbound calls and document all issues accurately and appropriately.
• Provide support of HL7 interfaces and knowledge of HL7 interfaces.
• Additional support responsibilities as required.
• Gather, compile and synthesize information regarding technology processes or systems.
• Independently design technical solutions for modules of a project or to resolve problems.

Typically requires 2 or more years of experience and a BA/BS degree or equivalent.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
