Quantitative Analyst, Coin Desk Indices (Contract)
A highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Analyst is needed to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development, maintenance, and analysis of our digital asset indices. You will utilize your expertise in quantitative methods, programming, and financial markets to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our benchmarks, which are trusted by leading financial institutions worldwide.

What You’ll Do
- Index Maintenance – Maintain single and multi‑digital asset indices, including daily validations, monitoring, and executing index reconstitutions using Python. Troubleshoot production issues, identify root cause, and recommend operational improvements.
- Index Development – Assist with the development, back‑testing, and validation of new digital asset indices and orchestrate their deployment into calculation systems.
- Quantitative Analysis – Monitor and interpret digital asset token events, assist with token classification, and analyze existing indices to support potential methodology modifications.
- Data Management – Work with large, complex time‑series datasets to ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous surveillance and processing.
- Model Validation – Oversee and run validation models for new and existing quantitative models, ensuring reliability and validity.
- Research and Innovation – Stay current with academic and industry research to inform new index ideas and methodologies.
- Collaboration and Communication – Work closely with engineers to define technical requirements, test releases, address client inquiries, and communicate complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Documentation – Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all operational processes, controls, and index methodologies.
What You Have
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience as a quantitative developer or in a similar quantitative role.
- Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python; familiarity with SQL is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of mathematics and statistics, including time‑series analysis.
- Knowledge of financial markets, derivatives, and financial instruments.
- Experience working with large datasets, including cleaning, processing, and analysis.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with digital assets and blockchain technology is a significant plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
