Piper Companies is seeking aSr. Network Engineer to support a world leading technology organization in New York, New York.
The Sr. Network Engineer role is remote in the NYC area with 30 percent travel.
A successful candidate for the Sr. Network Engineer will posses the experience or interest to work with customers.
Responsibilities for the Sr. Network Engineer include:
- Lead delivery engagements to ensure operational excellence and mission success
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to deliver secure, optimized networking solutions
- Provide technical expertise in enterprise networking and data center environments
- Resolve complex customer issues and drive serviceability improvements with engineering teams
- Contribute to innovation, engineering engagement, and talent development across projects
- Apply advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques in high-impact scenarios
- Participate in network infrastructure projects and deliver business-driven technology solutions
Requirements for the Sr. Network Engineer include:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field and 5–8 years of relevant experience
- Deep understanding of enterprise networking and data center technologies
- Expertise in Cisco routing and switching platforms, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SD-WAN, DNAC/SDA
- Experience with network design, optimization, and secure architecture principles
- Programming experience in Python,Ansible, or exposure toAI/ML technologies is a plus
- Ability to function in ambiguous environments and lead cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience solving complex problems and driving customer outcomes
Compensation for the Sr. Network Engineer:
- Salary:$140,000 - $160,000
- Full comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and sick leave as required by law
