10 is currently seeking a Junior Business Analyst with our investment banking client. This is a 12 month+ contract position located in Midtown New York, NY.

• We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Analyst to support the analysis and design of Data Governance and Master Data Management software development solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to help understand business needs, define business requirements, and document technical specifications. The role requires analytical skills and a strong desire to learn.
• The team, comprising of business analysts and developers, is responsible for building governance, matching, workflow, integration, and automation solutions across the organization. This role will play a part in promoting quality, consistency, and auditable data that enables our clients to optimize their business operations, increase sales, reduce costs, and streamline processes. The role will support the technical management of the firm's data catalog and data quality applications.

• Collaborate with developers and business analysts in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive Data Governance and Master Data Management solutions.
• Facilitate communication and gather and document requirements from stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of integration, matching, workflow, and automation solutions through documentation, meeting minutes, and issue and task log maintenance.
• Liaise with the Enterprise Data Governance team to formulate data quality rules.
• Support the technical operation of data catalogs, data lineage, and data glossary tools.
• Work on prioritized tasks on schedule to achieve targets.
• Collaborate in a success-oriented environment while helping the team to achieve objectives.
• Contribute towards effective communication among developers, analysts, and stakeholders.

• A Bachelor's degree, in a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience.
• Ability to understand business issues and perform business analysis.
• Strong communication skills with understanding of the financial services and asset management industry.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks concurrently.
• Ability to write SQL is a plus.
• Experience working with client, security, issuer, or legal entity data is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with Data Governance stakeholders is a plus.
• Hands-on experience working with a Data Catalog or Data Quality tool is a plus (experience with Collibra and Datactics is a plus).
• Master Data Management, data modeling and Tableau experience are an advantage (experience with Markit EDM is a plus).
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis
  10 employees will be considered for this position.

$45 - $50 hourly.
