Marketing Automation & Messaging Operations Senior Manager

The Product Marketing & Subscriber Strategy team builds DTC strategies and testing roadmaps that drive growth, engagement, and business results across subscription types. With a focus on optimizing the fan experience across touchpoints, from Marketing Landing Pages through upselling and cancellation flows, building loyal fans who understand the value proposition and stay subscribers.

The Marketing Automation & Messaging Operations Senior Manager ensures data is activated effectively in Braze to power personalized, multi-channel messaging. This role bridges data, technology, and marketing, turning insights into action that drive engagement, ROI, and subscriber growth. This position reports to the VP Product Marketing and is based in New York, NY as a 1‑year project‑based role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead data enablement, ensuring clean, accurate data flows into Braze, informing advanced targeting and segmentation.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to design and activate multi‑channel campaigns that leverage data for personalization and impact.
  • Collaborate with Data Platforms, Engineering, and Analytics teams to align data pipelines with business goals.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, delivering insights that improve audience strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and internal policies.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on audience strategy, data systems, and emerging marketing technologies.
  • Document and translate complex audience strategies into clear, actionable guidance for partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new tools, processes, and innovations across CRM channels (Email, In‑App, Web, CTV).

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years audience and/or data strategy, with experience with marketing‑activation technology and CRM/customer data marketing systems (e.g., DMP, CDPs, email/app activation platforms).
  • Proven ability to act as subject matter expert on state of the data, audiences, and technology.
  • Learn new data and technology systems and maximize the value they can deliver.
  • Manage complex relationships and negotiate with senior leadership to create alignment and influence leadership as needed.
  • Manage documentation and strategic framing of complex audience strategies in user‑friendly ways so they are easily and clearly understood by partners.
  • Proven success influencing leaders from other teams and organizations with audience prioritization.
  • Leadership track record of working with key partners to ensure CRM needs are on their roadmap, and provide requirements and support as needed.
  • Proven ability to clearly and frequently communicate with leadership and partners, by providing notes and documentation to ensure alignment and clarity.

Required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
