Talent-Relay has partnered with an innovative leader within the Healthcare and Med-Tech space to onboard a proactive IT Field Service Engineer, to support Network, Software & Hardware technology for their client base across the New York state region.
As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier service in PC (Windows), software, network, and hardware troubleshooting. The role involves extensive travel to medical centres and hospitals throughout the New York state area and occasional support within other regions throughout the US when needed (PTO cover, large installation, projects).
Midweek overnight stays may be likely, and some weekend work during busy periods. Excellent overtime rates for this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, support, and maintain the product range.
- Conduct site surveys and provide on-site/reactive support.
- Provide scheduled maintenance and upgrade assistance, available both remotely and on-site.
- Carry out installations in accordance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with customers and installers.
Full expense framework; i.e. overtime payments, travel/fuel and per diem/food allowance.
This is a field position that requires up to 70-80% travel.
Required Qualifications ,Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience as a technically qualified IT Field Engineering / IT Service Engineer.
- Strong hardware diagnostic skills, including PC hardware (replacing PC components).
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Windows Server + MS SQL.
- Solid customer service experience & “Can Do / results oriented attitude.”
- Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional team.
- Experience installing desktops / desktop imaging.
- Previous experience with installation, troubleshooting & resolving hardware issues.
- Experience with Storage – RAID / NAS.
- Understanding of routers & switches.
- A+ and Microsoft certifications a plus.
- SQL knowledge is preferred.
- Medical Devices, ideally Medical Imaging or Radiotherapy.
