Job SummaryThe Senior Software Developer will function as technical SME on implementation of major projects and will be part of a team that supports Operation Management Systems in the STO Computer Operation department. The successful candidate is responsible for system development and vendor implementation efforts, from project initiation through post‑implementation support while following and enforcing the department’s change management process to ensure timing of the changes does not jeopardize the availability and reliability of the systems.
They will also be responsible for working on all aspects of new applications development as well as vendor systems implementations: planning, requirements gathering, business analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, training, implementation, and ongoing technical support. They will also support day‑to‑day existing applications, problem solving, and issue resolution. They will promote best practices and use of cybersecurity tools and follow procedures and guidelines to ensure complete compliance with regulatory requirements, including NERC CIP and FERC Standards of Conduct.
This job requires the selected individual to be on‑call during off‑hours on a rotation basis.

QualificationsSenior Software Developer with experience in systems development, vendor implementation, and operations support. Proven ability to manage full development life‑cycle, enforce change‑management processes, and maintain regulatory compliance. Strong technical expertise in listed skills, excellent problem‑solving, and effective communication. Must be willing to perform on‑call duty on a rotation basis.
