Job Description & How to Apply Below
At AMS, we’re all about growth—helping our clients scale and creating space for our people to do the same. We’re a team of curious, driven, and creative minds who love turning ideas into impact. You’ll find a culture that values collaboration, openness, and initiative—where everyone’s voice matters and great work gets recognized. If you’re looking to grow, learn, and build something meaningful, you’ll fit right in here.
Aboutthe role
- The Sr. Director of Measurement establishes and leads AMS’s measurement discipline — a new function designed to unify how we evaluate media and marketing effectiveness across clients, tools, and partners.
- This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for building and managing vendor relationships, and developing scalable frameworks for learning and performance evaluation. The Director will guide how AMS measures what matters for each individual client, media campaign or agency partner.
- Initially, this role will be highly collaborative with matrixed access to analysts, planners, and data scientists across the organization. You will be hands‑on in the numbers and doing what needs to be done to establish and advance new product offerings.
- Define AMS’s measurement strategy and roadmap; codify what “good measurement” looks like across clients.
- Develop frameworks and protocols for campaign evaluation, attribution, and experimentation.
- Create and maintain client‑specific Learning Agendas to guide optimization and decision‑making.
- Advise clients on the right measurement approach — selecting, managing, and interpreting results from MMM, MTA, incrementality, and attention studies.
- Translate complex data and statistical models into clear, actionable business insights.
- Represent SRP and AMS in senior client conversations, strategic reviews, and industry thought leadership.
- Own relationships with measurement vendors, analytics partners, and data providers; evaluate performance and negotiate agreements.
- Stay current on evolving open‑source methodologies and privacy‑safe data environments.
- Identify emerging tools and technologies that improve measurement quality or efficiency; lead pilot testing and integration.
- Collaborate with Procurement, IT, and Analytics to ensure compliance, interoperability, and data governance.
- Partner closely with Strategy, Planning, Research, and Analytics to embed measurement thinking into all stages of planning and activation.
- Ensure tagging, tracking, and data integrity best practices are consistently applied across campaigns.
- Build internal measurement “hygiene” — including standards for data documentation, reporting cadence, and vendor evaluation.
- Educate teams across AMS on measurement frameworks, experimental design, and interpretation.
- Develop templates and repeatable deliverables such as measurement briefs, test plans, and post‑campaign analyses.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of AMS’s proprietary measurement frameworks and tools.
- Establish AMS’s point of view on emerging measurement trends and communicate it internally and externally.
- Publish insights, case studies, and thought leadership that advance AMS’s reputation for measurement innovation.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing measurement, analytics, or strategy with increasing leadership responsibility.
- Deep understanding of attribution, MMM, incrementality testing, and causal inference methodologies.
- Experience evaluating and managing external measurement vendors and SaaS‑based tools.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing measurement programs that drive business outcomes.
- Hands‑on familiarity with statistical analysis and experimentation tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and clean room environments.
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to build and communicate complex findings visually and succinctly.
- Working knowledge of major data sources (Nielsen, Comscore, You Gov, Resonate, MRI) and programmatic reporting…
