Project Context

As part of the implementation of the FR 2052a liquidity reporting for the Federal Reserve, we are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to serve as the functional bridge between the Finance/Accounting departments and IT/Development teams, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and familiarity with Axiom SL.

Business Analysis and IT Coordination

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Finance, Treasury, and Risk teams related to the FR 2052a reporting process.
• Translate regulatory and finance requirements into clear and actionable functional specifications for IT and development teams.
• Act as the main point of contact between Finance users and developers, ensuring alignment on business needs and technical implementation.
• Analyze functional and technical impacts of new regulatory requirements or architectural changes.
• Provide support to developers and technical teams during implementation, especially for configurations and logic within Axiom SL.
• Maintain and update detailed functional documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Testing & Validation

• Define and execute the functional testing strategy in collaboration with business stakeholders and QA teams.
• Write and maintain test cases (unit, integration, UAT) to validate the correct implementation of requirements.
• Monitor test execution, manage defect resolution, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Financial Services industry, ideally within Investment Banking or Treasury.
• Proven experience with FR 2052a reporting – mandatory.
• Good knowledge of Axiom SL – strong plus.
• Knowledge of SQL or other data query languages.
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting workflows, liquidity risk, and data transformation processes.
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform gap analysis between business needs and data availability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with data models and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Liquidity Risk, CCAR, Basel III).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (Finance, Risk, IT, Compliance).
