A fast-paced, technology-driven trading firm based in New York City, are looking to hire a Data Engineer.

The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build and optimize the data pipelines, platforms, and tooling that fuel the trading strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and software engineers to deliver reliable, low-latency and high-availability data systems. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences the trading performance.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for market, transactional, and alternative data
• Develop robust data models and storage solutions optimized for high-frequency and large-scale workloads
• Improve performance, reliability, and monitoring of data systems
• Integrate new data sources and ensure data quality, consistency, and lineage
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that power research and trading
• Contribute to best practices for data engineering, governance, and observability

• 3–7+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role
• MUST HAVE Prior experience in trading, finance, or high‑frequency environments
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Expertise with distributed data technologies
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and streaming architectures
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, highly collaborative environment
