Product Design Lead – Beam Impact

We are looking for a Product Design Lead to spearhead the design vision and execution for Beam Impact’s product line. In this role, you will build the design discipline, create a scalable system, and shape the user experience for thousands of nonprofit partners.

This is a high‑impact role as the sole product designer: you will serve as the architectural voice for user experience, lead the creation of a robust design system, and influence the product for years to come.

You are an experienced product designer who thrives on ownership and ambiguity. You are passionate about elegant, user‑centered interfaces and scalable design systems, a strategic partner to Product and Engineering, and a self‑starter eager to make a meaningful impact.

• Lead end‑to‑end product design, from discovery and user research to high‑fidelity mockups, prototyping, and hand‑off to engineers.
• Create, document, and maintain a comprehensive design system that ensures consistency, speeds development, and scales with the product.
• Advocate for users through research and usability testing to validate concepts and solve real‑world problems.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and leadership to define roadmaps, influence strategy, and champion user experience.
• Establish best practices, tools, and workflows, setting the standard for quality and efficiency in the team.
• Own the public‑facing Beam Impact website built on Framer and design new pages for marketing and product launches.
• Mentor a junior designer, offering guidance and ensuring consistent, high‑quality work across integration touchpoints.
• Maintain and evolve the Beam Impact brand identity across product and marketing assets.
• Create compelling marketing assets, including sales decks, email templates, case studies, and social media content.

• 5+ years of product design experience, focused on UI/UX for web and mobile.
• Proven track record with SaaS products in fast‑paced or high‑growth environments.
• Portfolio showcasing elegant, data‑driven solutions to complex design challenges.
• Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and responsive web/mobile design.
• Deep understanding of technical constraints, enabling collaboration with engineers.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining design systems and pattern libraries.
• Strong analytical mindset, using product data to inform decisions.
• Experience leading end‑to‑end design for major feature initiatives.
• Expert knowledge of UI/UX best practices, accessibility standards, and user‑centered design principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor junior talent.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Experience in e‑commerce or Mar Tech.
• Experience in Series A/B/C startup environments.
• Experience with in multi‑product ecosystems.
• Familiarity with e‑commerce AB testing.
• Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem.
• Familiarity with accessibility design.
• Experience building decks for executive stakeholders.
• Experience maintaining a marketing website on Framer or Webflow.

• Expected annual compensation range: $181,500 – $203,500 USD.
• Base salary: $165,000 – $200,000 USD.
