Position: Digital Solution Business Analyst, Portfolio Performance Monitoring
Location: New York

What role will you play?

As a Portfolio Performance Monitoring Business Analyst with a strong data analytics focus, you will drive the roll‑out of portfolio analytics and monitoring capability, leveraging data to transform how our investment and portfolio teams evaluate target investments, onboard new assets, identify value‑creation opportunities, and mitigate risks. You will play an instrumental role in developing data‑driven strategies to enhance decision‑making and optimize performance across our private‑market investments.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many roles, this position requires three days a week in our office.

Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will gather and interpret requirements, analyze business processes, and collaborate on digital, data, and AI‑driven solutions to drive measurable business impact and transform the way we work. Partnering with Private Markets investment and portfolio teams, you will lead initiatives to enhance portfolio company management and the asset‑management lifecycle through innovation and strategic insights. Your responsibilities include building analytics frameworks, uncovering actionable insights, collaborating with engineering teams, ensuring data quality, and supporting the implementation of new solutions through user testing, training, and feedback.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $145,000–$165,000 per year. Actual base salary may vary by relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. What

you offer
  • At least 5 years of Business Analyst experience within Asset Management, with strong preference in Private Markets
  • Strong understanding of the importance of user experience and user outcomes, alongside functionality
  • Proven experience rolling out digital tools that support investment teams with portfolio monitoring, portfolio operations, or value‑creation initiatives, and proficiency with Chronograph, iLevel, 73 Strings, or similar implementations
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and business intelligence tools, with experience working with both structured and unstructured data for portfolio monitoring and analysis, portfolio operations and value creation
  • Prior experience in the investment lifecycle, portfolio monitoring, valuation, and reporting processes
