Quality Assurance

A media services organization in NYC is seeking a skilled QA Specialist, with hands‑on experience with streaming technologies, AV codecs, DRM systems, and familiarity with video players like Theo, JW Player, and Shaka Player.

Our streaming video SDK is at the forefront of technology, leveraging modern video codecs, adaptive bitrate streaming, low‑latency streaming, and support for live streaming. We ensure seamless playback across various platforms, including web browsers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and streaming media devices.

• Develop and execute test plans and packs within Test Rail or Qmetry.
• Focus on testing items that can be enabled without additional development work by the video player tech team, such as onboarding existing features on existing platforms.
• Manage test results and produce detailed reports and regularly liaise with project teams to understand testing requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement within the team, taking the initiative to achieve it and sharing knowledge across the team.

• 2+ years of hands‑on testing experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and effectively.
• Strong ability to switch between multiple tasks and priorities.
• Proven industry experience in video player testing, especially on mobile devices.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies, AV codecs, DRM systems, and familiarity with video players like Theo, JW Player, and Shaka Player.
• Proficiency in debugging tools and log analysis, ideally using Charles Proxy.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive and determined approach, and a passion for exploratory testing.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
