GCP Platform Lead – New York City

West Monroe is seeking an experienced GCP Platform Lead with a strong background in Agentic AI, Software Engineering, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to drive the design, delivery, and management of scalable, AI-enabled platforms in New York City. This role will oversee end-to-end platform engineering, lead the CREATe process (Collaborative Requirements Engineering and Agile Testing), and ensure seamless coordination with stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality progress of deliverables.

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable platforms on GCP to support AI-driven applications.
• Partner with existing teams focused on the data platform and foundation layer to ensure integration patterns and scalable architecture decisions.
• Drive the integration of Agentic AI technologies into platform solutions to enable adaptive, autonomous, and intelligent systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure adherence to best practices in software development, Dev Ops, and cloud-native design.
• Develop and maintain platform roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and emerging technologies.

• Oversee the Collaborative Requirements Engineering and Agile Testing (CREATe) process to ensure effective and efficient requirements gathering, testing, and delivery.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops to define platform requirements and align on delivery priorities.
• Establish clear processes for iterative development, testing, and feedback to ensure quality outcomes.

• Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to align on priorities and expectations.
• Lead project planning and delivery timelines, ensuring milestones are met and blockers are addressed promptly.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Foster collaboration across teams, ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.

• Stay up-to-date with advancements in Agentic AI, GCP services, and software engineering practices to drive innovation.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices in AI, cloud architecture, and software development.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging feedback to optimize platform performance and delivery processes.

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Strong experience with core GCP services (Compute Engine, Big Query, Cloud Functions, AI/ML APIs, Kubernetes Engine).
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Strong experience with IAM, security & compliance services (e.g., cloud armor) as it relates to landing zone patterns & scaling projects & services.
• Agentic AI: Deep understanding of AI systems with autonomous and adaptive capabilities, including design, training, and deployment.
• Software Engineering: Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Java, Go) and frameworks for scalable application development.
• Dev Ops & CI/CD: Experience with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Build).
• Data Engineering: Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, and real-time data streaming on GCP.

• Proven experience in leading platform design and delivery for enterprise-scale systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience managing iterative delivery processes.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment across technical and business stakeholders.

• Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer, or Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
• Experience with MLOps and AI/ML lifecycle management on GCP.
• Familiarity with ethical AI practices and governance frameworks.
• Prior experience in leading CREATe or similar collaborative engineering/enterprise architecture processes.
