We are seeking a skilled and motivated Compliance Paralegal with a strong technology background to join our legal and compliance team. The Compliance Paralegal will play a vital role in ensuring the company’s adherence to external compliance requirements across federal, state and local laws and regulations, and internal standards focusing on data governance and privacy, industry best practices, and contract review.
This role reports to the VP, Legal.
- Compliance:
Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s compliance program, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards. - Privacy:
Support the privacy program, including developing privacy policies, training, assessments (DPIA, PIA, TIA) and incident response. - Sensitive Data Element Monitoring:
Assist in monitoring projects related to sensitive data elements and collaborate with technical teams to implement appropriate blocking measures. - RFPs:
Actively participate in the request for proposal process from the legal and compliance stakeholder perspective. - Data Compilation and Reporting:
Assist in compiling and maintaining relevant data and reports for the organization. - IVT/MFA Monitoring:
Support the monitoring of Invalid Traffic (IVT) and Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) practices. - Publisher Vetting:
Collaborate with teams to assist in the vetting of publishers, ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulations. - Contract Review:
Assist in reviewing, analyzing and organizing contracts to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal specialist in compliance and privacy within the technology sector or related industry.
- Familiarity with GDPR, CPRA and similar evolving regional data protection standards.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with JIRA or similar project management tools.
- High proficiency in using technology tools for data analysis, workflow creation and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- IAPP certification(s).
- Familiarity with DSPs, SSPs, RTB, ad exchanges, and the programmatic advertising ecosystem.
- Knowledge of IAB, NAI and DAA standards and guidelines.
- Experience setting up and implementing contract management tools.
In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full‑time annual base salary for this role is $75,000 – $105,000 at the time of posting. We offer a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, 401(k), EAP, parental leave, unlimited vacation and company‑paid holidays.
