Senior Information Technology System Engineer

Overview

Senior Information Technology System Engineer. Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr. Our client is a leading cross-border platform on a mission to digitize trade, with outreach in 15 countries and a New York team expansion.

This role oversees the IT function, policies, strategy, and operations to combat cyber threats and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Data Management:
  Optimize database systems to ensure high availability and performance, identifying and resolving issues such as database performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, and slow queries. Manage user permissions and implement security measures to prevent data leakage or tampering.
• IT Infrastructure & Support:
  Maintain hardware, software, and cloud services.
• Deployment & Upgrades:
  Manage IT deployment and change management processes, including assessing and administering equipment and software upgrades.
• Security & Compliance:
  Protect the integrity and availability of company servers and ensure adherence to IT regulations for Payment Institutions.
• Vendor & Auditing:
  Manage relationships with US IT vendors and liaise with internal and external auditors.

• Experience:
  
  5+ years in information technology, preferably in a fintech or Payment Service environment. Experience with regulatory compliance.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong knowledge of cloud computing, Linux, Python, and network devices (firewall, switch, and router).
• Personal Attributes: A self-starter who is pragmatic, organized, and capable of both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree in a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
