Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with Cassandra

Job Responsibilities
  • Good understanding of infrastructure architecture including servers, storage, network, database, MQ and application components.
  • Infrastructure as code & automation: use Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins CI/CD for automation, containerize environments (Kubernetes, Helm charts), leverage PCF private cloud technologies; implement and manage security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
  • Manage infrastructure for high‑volume transaction‑based systems.
  • Investigate infrastructure‑related issues and performance bottlenecks, lead root‑cause analysis and apply best solutions.
  • Use industry‑standard monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) to develop and maintain dashboards, alerting, and reporting.
  • Setup end‑to‑end infrastructure monitoring, metrics, and tracing for enterprise systems; understand Site Reliability Engineering concepts (SLO, SLI, Error Budget).
  • Demonstrate expertise in Incident/Problem/Change management processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post‑mortems, and ensure permanent closure.
Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering and 6+ years of applied experience in infrastructure and database systems.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation.
  • Proficient scripting for automation (shell, Python, Ansible playbooks).
  • Hands‑on experience with scheduler software such as Control‑M or Autosys.
  • Knowledge of Cloud & Dev Ops tools:
    Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Experience in disaster‑recovery planning and testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based database systems such as Cockroach

    DB, Cassandra, and platforms like PCF.
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports for infrastructure systems, optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Hands‑on practical experience in Site Reliability Engineering and operational stability practices.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, application resiliency, security).
  • Hands‑on experience in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or Ansible scripting).
