Concourse builds AI agents for corporate finance teams. Companies connect core data sources from data warehouses, ERPs, payroll, billing, and more into Concourse, where our AI agents can analyze data and deliver insights in seconds. Our AI agents can be prompted through natural language and can return analyses, forecasts, and reports, boosting the finance team’s productivity by up to 10x. Purpose-built for finance, Concourse agents offer auditability, memory, and presentation-ready output, helping teams cut manual work by 75% while generating 6x more insights.

At its core, Concourse is reimagining how companies interact with financial data. Traditional finance tools haven’t changed in decades, teams still rely on fragmented point solutions and static spreadsheets. Our mission is not only to automate routine tasks but to transform decision-making by giving finance teams a deeper understanding and generating net-new insights into business performance.

Since launching less than a year ago, Concourse has grown rapidly. Our AI agents are deployed across 50+ customers, including unicorn startups (Persona, Front, Lightmatter) and large public companies (including a Fortune 500). Concourse is a Y Combinator company backed by Andreessen Horowitz, CRV, and 50+ angel investors from companies like Brex, Rippling, Flywire, and Door Dash.

We’re actively hiring for a Founding AI Engineer to assist & lead the engineering efforts of our AI agents. We’re looking for someone who is extremely passionate about AI and its potential to fundamentally change the way work is done across the enterprise. We work with large customers + large amounts of data, so a passion for building production grade agents with best-in-class performance is important to be successful in this role.

We’re looking for someone who is excited about the prospect of joining a lean & high-powered team and tackling the problem space head-on. The right candidate will have a combination of high ownership mentality, infectious energy, and technical expertise to move the company and engineering organization forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure capable of processing hundreds of thousands of queries and SQL responses per month related to calls to LLMs and ensure the accuracy of the output and response rate
• Fine-tune our models through code and prompt engineering to create the best outputs from different LLMs
• Work with backend integrations to key finance data sources (ERPs, banks, CRMs, HRIS, internal databases) and related data models to ensure data accuracy of our agents and response outputs
• Experiment and evaluate with the latest models and technological advances in AI to improve response rates & augment functionality for our product & customers. Test new tools and techniques and help create industry-leading expertise & a cutting-edge stack
• Embrace and own large parts of the product and engineering responsibilities. Own the projects and outcomes, and have a significant ownership mentality to every project you work on to drive meaningful outcomes
• Work directly with the entire team and engineers and play a key role in building out the team and company culture

Passion & Experience building with LLMs
. We are still in the early innings of AI adoption and the deployment of AI agents into the enterprise. You have experience building software products with a key focus on building with LLMs and specifically have pushed AI agents in production. Ideally you are doing this every day but you may have hacked together your own LLM based projects for fun, or are deeply passionate about the space.

We’re all in on AI and want you to bring that same passion for the technology and its potential application within finance. You also have experience in prompt engineering and keep up with the latest news & advancements in AI. If you’ve built in fintech, saas, or enterprise technology, this is a plus.
