This role is offered by the NYS Office of Information Technology Services. The pay range for this position is $86,681.00 – $ per year and will be based on your skills and experience.
DescriptionUnder the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 4 Information Security (IS), SG 25, the Information Technology Specialist 3 IS, SG‑23, within Dedicated Support, Sector C, will be responsible for application security and implementation as well as HIPAA compliance and the maintenance for Eightfold.
Responsibilities- Manage and implement information security and compliance programs.
- Manage and resolve security threats to agency information systems.
- Serve as information security expert and evaluate systems and contracts for alignment with agency and State information security policies.
- Monitor and stay aware of information security industry trends, tools, and techniques.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five years of information technology, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience.
- Substitutions available: a bachelor’s degree or higher in any field, supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science or a related field, substitutes for three years of required experience; a bachelor’s degree substitutes for two years of required experience; an associate’s degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or a related field substitutes for one year; a master’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field substitutes for one year.
Comments
- ITS will not offer permanent employment to any candidate unless the candidate provides documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis. - If eligible, positions located in New York City will receive an additional $3,400 downstate adjustment location pay; positions located in the Mid‑Hudson will receive an additional $1,650 adjustment location pay.
