Role OverviewOur client, an Am Law 50 firm, is seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Content Management Systems to lead and advance the firm's document management and content collaboration platforms. This role is critical to ensuring enterprise content systems are secure, compliant, scalable, and optimized to support business objectives while delivering an excellent user experience.
The Senior Manager will oversee platform strategy, administration, and continuous improvement, while providing leadership to the ECM team and serving as a key partner to IT, Information Governance, and firmwide business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee administration, configuration, and optimization of enterprise content management platforms
- Ensure secure, compliant, and efficient document management across the firm
- Enforce document lifecycle management, access controls, and data security aligned with Information Governance policies
- Develop and deliver user training and support to promote best practices and effective adoption
- Serve as primary point of contact for ECM platform vendors and internal stakeholders
- Monitor industry trends and emerging ECM technologies; assess applicability to the firm
- Recommend platform strategy, enhancements, and roadmap improvements based on business needs
- Lead, mentor, and manage the ECM team to ensure high performance and service delivery
- Provide hands‑on technical support for core ECM systems, including:
- iManage DMS
- Microsoft Teams Work spaces
- Microsoft Share Point
- Client collaboration platforms
- Support complex SharePoint development and customization requirements
- Deep experience managing legal document management systems, preferably iManage
- Experience implementing and managing Microsoft Teams Work spaces (Intapp Work spaces preferred)
- 5+ years of experience managing intranet platforms, preferably Microsoft Share Point
- Experience supporting enterprise and external collaboration platforms (deal rooms, extranets, Microsoft Teams)
- Strong knowledge of information governance, data privacy, and compliance best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in IT enterprise systems roles, including high‑availability platforms
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise content management or document management systems
- Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment
- Prior experience in the legal or professional services industry
