Senior Engineer

Type of Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Retainer team, providing Technical Leadership for retainer projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside team members to evaluate tasks requirements and provide guidance for technical approaches, validating FSD’s, designs and providing TSD’s as needed.
• Guide and unblock a team of 3-4 developers through day-to-day activities and weekly grooming calls.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to ensure quality, performance and best practices.
• Act ~ 60% of the time as the Senior developer, building complex or critical features directly to model best practices.
• Ensure and enforce teams to follow company defined best practices, documentations, workflows and processes.
• Contribute with suggestions to improve company best practices, workflows and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Frontend Development

• Advanced knowledge of responsive design using Tailwind CSS.
• Proficiency in translating static designs into interactive interfaces with strong attention to details.
• Mastery in writing semantic, well-structured HTML, with knowledge of accessibility and SEO best practices.

Shopify Development

• Proficient in Liquid template language and Shopify core functionalities and data models.
• Advanced knowledge of metafields, metaobjects, and Shopify Search & Discovery app.
• Familiarity with Shopify CLI and Admin API.
• Knowledge of Shopify / Shopify Plus store configurations in general (Discounts, Apps settings, Orders logic, Customer Events, etc)
• Bonus points in case of experience with Shopify Functions / custom app development.

Experience

• Experience with Prettier, ESLint, and Git/Git Hub.
• Experience working with Pull Requests / Code Reviews workflows via Git Hub.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc.
• Be self-organized and process / documentation oriented, handling multiple points of contacts and demands on a daily-basis.
• Good communication and writing skills to communicate and document deliverables with developers, PM, QAs and clients.

General Requirements

• 8+ years of front-end development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Shopify theme development and Tailwind CSS.
• 4+ years of experience with Type Script, and 2+ years with React/Alpine
  
  JS.
• 2+ years of experience as a Technical Lead. Bonus points if any experience / background acting as a Project Manager.
• Proven ability to design, optimize, and implement user-centric web solutions.
• Professional fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Undergraduate degree preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience working remotely, effectively managing and meeting deadlines.
• Access to reliable internet connection and needed hardware (microfone and webcam for meetings).
• Access to a dedicated working space at home, to be able to participate and interact with the team at meetings without interruptions or background noise.
• Working hours are flexible but the expectation is to stick to a fixed timeline once aligned, ideally overlapping mostly with EST time zone, to facilitate team sync and communications.
