Piper Companies is seeking a Technology Management Lead to join a dynamic technology-driven organization for a full-time
, hybrid position located in NYC
. The Technology Management Lead will ensure the reliability and performance of trading and risk applications by resolving incidents, optimizing system health, and collaborating with technical and business teams to deliver scalable, fault‑tolerant solutions.
- Serve as the first line of support for trading and risk applications, resolving production incidents swiftly to minimize downtime and financial impact.
- Conduct root cause analyses and lead blameless post‑mortems, implementing preventative measures to address recurring issues.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with business stakeholders and senior technologists regarding incidents and follow‑up actions.
- Enhance application health monitoring and automation to reduce manual intervention and improve system reliability.
- Optimize resource usage and manage capacity to ensure cost‑effective and scalable solutions aligned with business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
- Extensive experience in reliability engineering, particularly in supporting front‑office users within financial services.
- Strong technical proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, SQL, and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Knowledge of fixed income products, market data feeds, and the trading lifecycle, along with experience using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Geneos.
- Salary Range: $170,000-$195,000 USD/year
