Job Title: Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Location: Hybrid – New York, NY 10036 (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Employment Type: 6-month contract with strong potential for full-time conversion

We are seeking a highly skilled, hands‑on Infrastructure Engineer to serve as a key technical resource within a fast‑paced, enterprise IT environment. This role is ideal for a well‑rounded “jack‑of‑all‑trades” infrastructure professional with deep experience across on‑premises and cloud platforms. The successful candidate will support Level 2/3 operations, lead troubleshooting efforts, drive automation initiatives, and contribute to infrastructure projects and migrations.

This position requires flexibility to participate in an on‑call rotation, including after‑hours and occasional weekend support, as well as strong communication and documentation skills. Experience supporting financial services environments is highly preferred.

• Provide Level 2/3 infrastructure support, including issue escalation, root‑cause analysis, and resolution
• Participate in an on‑call rotation with availability for after‑hours and occasional weekend support
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure solutions
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational tasks
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including configurations, processes, and incident records
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on infrastructure initiatives, upgrades, and migrations

• Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Exchange administration
• Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, security, and identity)
• Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting
• Intune for endpoint and device management
• Network security principles and best practices
• Firewall management, with a strong preference for Fortinet
• Citrix environments (administration and support)
• Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) implementations
• Automation and scripting skills (Power Shell, Python, or similar)
• Strong technical documentation capabilities
• Professional presence and strong interpersonal skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in a broad, hands‑on infrastructure engineering role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prior experience in the financial services industry strongly preferred
