the role

Active International is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual for a newly created leadership role. The Director of Process Automation will be responsible for defining and executing strategic process automation initiatives to improve efficiency across media advertising, finance, and other operational workflows. This role will focus on streamlining advertising campaigns execution, including linear television, digital programmatic, radio, out-of-home (OOH), and other media channels.

The Director will partner closely with media operations, analytics, and technology teams to reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and accelerate campaign delivery.

In addition, the role will lead automation initiatives supporting finance operations, with a particular emphasis on accounts receivable processes and collections. The Director of Process Automation will identify high-impact opportunities for RPA and agentic AI, manage the full lifecycle of automation initiatives, and drive adoption of scalable solutions that enhance productivity, strengthen controls, and align with Active International’s strategic objectives.

What you’ll do

The Director of Process Automation will manage the entire implementation lifecycle of automation solutions from strategic planning to deployment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools, databases, and dashboards for tracking business process efficiency, productivity volume and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage high-priority projects, including proof of concepts, pilots, and full-scale deployments, including smooth transitions, user training and user adoption of the new tools.
  • Work closely with advertising teams, data analytics, and external development teams to deploy automation solutions.
  • Present complex technical information and project updates to senior management and user audiences.
  • Lead projects to implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and deploy agentic AI technology to improve business workflows.
  • Utilize data analysis tools (such as Power

    BI) to design dashboards that track the effectiveness of automation efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and/or business administration. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrate proven 5+ years of process improvement or process automation experience, and at least 2+ years in management position.
  • Expertise in media/marketing ecosystem (Mar Tech), or advertising supply chain operations (AdOps) is preferred.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a blend of technical expertise in automation and strong leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and testing frameworks is required. Formal PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or other relevant project management certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Expert-level knowledge of process mapping and modeling tools. Certification in process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) or practical experience on working with these methodologies is preferred.
  • Technical requirements: experience in implementing RPA and AI technologies, proficiency with SQL, and practical experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Power

    BI or similar).

The salary for this role is $130,000. The successful candidate’s salary will depend on the actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
