- Design, build, debug, and maintain queries, views, and stored procedures in MS SQL to extract, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
- Develop and enhance interactive dashboards in Power BI that provide clear, actionable insights.
- Maintain and create new SSRS Reports.
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into data models, analyses, and visualizations.
- Clean, validate, and reconcile datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data, and explain their implications in plain language.
- Partner with business leaders to frame problems, test assumptions, and propose data driven recommendations.
- Document data definitions, sources, and logic to support transparency and repeatability.
- Provide excellent and timely service to internal customers.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as data analytics, data science, mathematics or computer science.
- Strong proficiency in MS SQL, including the mutation of data schemas, and the creation and maintenance of existing, complex queries and stored procedures and performance tuning.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and best practices.
- A cautious, test-first approach when working with production databases.
- Deep experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, clean, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.
- A structured, analytical mindset with a problem solving orientation.
- Attention to detail paired with a practical sense of what matters most to the business.
- Comfort working independently while collaborating effectively with cross functional teams.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role.
- Experience working with financial, operational, or business performance data.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and documentation practices.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Stored Procedures, Version Control, and Microsoft Excel are required.
- Experience with SharePoint is a plus, specifically managing and organizing data assets within SharePoint, including document libraries, and lists.
- Competitive compensation in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 based on the individual’s experience level.
