This role involves measuring, simulating, and interpreting the performance of research quantum processors and associated hardware components. Responsibilities might include conducting experimental characterizations such as spectroscopy and time-domain measurements, e.g., coherence time assessments, analyzing data to understand device behavior, and developing simulation-based models to correlate experimental results with theoretical predictions. Depending on project needs and individual interests, the position may include deeper investigations into topics such as coherence performance as a function of qubit frequency, coupler dynamics and multi-qubit interaction optimization, and model-to-hardware correlation using open-source quantum simulation frameworks such as QuTiP and scqubits.

Master's Degree

• Bachelors degree in Physics or related fields.
• Experience with RF and microwave electronics, including spectrum analyzers, digitizers, sources and pulse generators.
• Coding experience in python.

• Research background in the field of in solid-state qubit platforms.
• Fluency in typical python packages such as QuTiP or scqubits.
• Commercial simulation software such as HFSS, COMSOL.
