These attributes are essential to maintaining reliable broadcast infrastructure, supporting complex live events, and partnering effectively with internal teams, visiting production teams, vendors, contractors, and union crews.
** 1. Technical Leadership:
*** Demonstrates strong engineering leadership and the ability to establish priorities, standards, and clear expectations.
* Coaches and develops technical staff while balancing daily operations, event coverage, and long-term system needs.
* Takes ownership of system reliability and engineering outcomes.
** 2. Collaboration & Partnership:
*** Works effectively with Production, IPTV, IT, event operations, visiting broadcasts, vendors, contractors, and union crews.
* Builds trusted relationships and translates technical requirements into practical engineering plans.
* Communicates service expectations, limitations, and escalation paths clearly.
** 3. Adaptability:
*** Responds effectively to changing event requirements, technical issues, maintenance windows, and last-minute schedule adjustments.
* Maintains composure and sound judgment in dynamic, high-pressure live event environments.
* Adjusts priorities to protect event continuity and operational needs.
** 4. Effective Communication:
*** Explains technical decisions, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Communicates during critical incidents to coordinate service restoration and manage operational impacts.
