Onsite Print Support Technician

Our client, Industry Descriptor is seeking a Onsite Print Support Technician to join their team. As an Onsite Print Support Technician, you will be part of the Onsite Print Support team supporting customer device fleets and end users. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to follow established incident, change, and problem management protocols, which will align successfully in the organization.

Monitor onsite systems and detect performance issues, then resolve technical problems using established protocols. Respond to service and technical inquiries, addressing common device and functionality questions to ensure high customer satisfaction. Perform routine installations and configurations, and execute approved scripted change management activities while adhering to incident, change, and problem management processes. Handle break/fix events (best effort), including clearing paper jams, replacing toner/consumables/paper, and swapping devices with onsite spares as needed.

Use web-based software to manage proactive fleet monitoring, create and submit support tickets using HP or customer tools, and complete required maintenance tasks as directed by CDM.

High School Diploma/GED or higher secondary education, or commensurate work experience with demonstrated competence. Typically 2–5 years of related work experience, preferably in maintenance, quality, or a related field. Ability to manage consumable inventory and ensure required accessories are available at customer sites for each device. Experience supporting device functionality for end users, including assisting with usage pages collection and reporting non-reporting devices (NRDs).

Working knowledge of NT/Unix/MS platforms to help resolve fleet-related issues, with the ability to liaise and coordinate with HP or support teams as needed.

Engage in proactive troubleshooting and maintenance to help reduce downtime and improve service quality. Collaborate with internal teams and coordinate with HP/3rd party suppliers to support equipment and software status updates.
