Location: New York
The Data Analyst 1/Trainee 1/Trainee 2 position is located in the New York State Department of Transportation's Office of Data Management in Albany. The role involves devising methods to identify data patterns and trends, performing data extraction and quality checks, developing analytical models, and communicating data insights to support departmental decision-making and policy development. This is a full-time position reporting to a Data Analyst 2, with telecommuting allowed.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or related field
- For Trainee 2: one year of experience in advanced Excel analysis
- For Data Analyst 1: two years of experience in data visualization, statistical models, and data mining tools, or completion of two-year traineeship
- Master's or Ph.D. in qualifying field may substitute for years of specialized experience
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
