Responsibilities will include configuring OCI compute, storage, networking, load balancing, DNS, identity and access management, security, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery.
The consultant will also design, build, and support OKE clusters and containerized workloads, including cluster networking, ingress, persistent storage, certificates, secrets, monitoring, and security. The position will implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, Ansible, scripting, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
The consultant will work closely with application development, People Soft administration, database, middleware, network, cybersecurity, cloud, and operations teams. The consultant will participate in architecture reviews, technical workshops, environment builds, migration testing, production cutovers, disaster recovery exercises, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
The consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining architecture diagrams, technical designs, migration plans, build procedures, configuration documents, operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
The successful candidate must have extensive experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise OCI environments for mission-critical applications. Strong technical knowledge of People Soft, Oracle middleware, OCI networking, Linux, Kubernetes, automation, high availability, security, backup, and disaster recovery is required. OCI professional-level certification is strongly preferred.
The consultant must be available to support production implementations, cutovers, disaster recovery exercises, and critical incidents outside normal business hours when required.
- Minimum of 10 years of cloud, infrastructure engineering, or technical architecture experience.
- Minimum of three years of hands‑on OCI architecture, engineering, or administration experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, or supporting enterprise OCI environments for mission-critical applications.
- Experience supporting the migration of People Soft and Oracle middleware workloads to OCI.
- Strong knowledge of OCI networking, compute, storage, load balancing, IAM, DNS, monitoring, logging, backup, security, and disaster recovery.

- Strong understanding of VCNs, subnets, DRGs, Fast Connect, routing, firewalls, network security groups, DNS, TLS certificates, and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, containers, OKE, ingress, persistent storage, certificates, and secrets management.
