A public pension fund serving New York City educators is seeking a Data Analyst/Developer to support its Data Governance objectives. The role focuses on data modeling, profiling, and stewardship to enhance data quality and governance.
Job Responsibilities- Support the development of Data Sub Models and Tableau Physical Data Models for assigned product areas.
- Review Mendix Pro data models and related Postgres tables to identify relevant data structures.
- Reverse engineer Product Data Sub Models in ER Studio Pro and publish data models and documentation.
- Create high-level profiling visualizations and summarize issues for remediation.
- Identify, document, and track Product Violations, including business rules and impacts.
- Assist with logging and tracking data violations through the Issue Tracking Ledger.
- Support Data Steward Organization meetings and promote business engagement for data quality.
- Strong experience in data analysis, data profiling, and data quality assessment.
- Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with data modeling tools, preferably ER/Studio Pro.
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI and reporting platforms.
- Ability to translate business rules into data quality checks and SQL queries.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level Data Governance programs.
- Familiarity with Mendix Pro data models and issue tracking tools like Microsoft Azure Dev Ops.
Pay Rate: $50 - $53/hr, DOE
