Auto Adjuster - National General

Job Description

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents, determining coverage, liability, damages, and adjusting and negotiating claims within the limits of authority. The role follows a Monday‑Friday schedule with occasional rotating Saturday coverage, opening to candidates in Eastern or Central time zone states.

• Investigate and validate facts of loss for auto claims arising from vehicle collisions.
• Determine coverage, assess liability and damages, and negotiate claim settlements.
• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partner with assigned representatives to achieve the best outcome.
• Recognize vehicle body parts and potential property damage.
• Identify customer needs and apply appropriate customer service skills.
• Determine subrogation or fraud potential and decide on appropriate actions.
• Apply an intermediate understanding of company insurance policies and industry terminology.
• Handle investigation of all aspects of auto claims with discretion and independence within an increased level of authority.

• 2 or more years of experience (Preferred).

This position does not have supervisory duties.

Base compensation offered for this role is:

• Auto Adjuster Analyst III: $50,000 – $65,300
• Auto Adjuster Cons I: $50,000 – $74,120
• Auto Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 – $82,500

Compensation may include incentive pay such as commission or bonuses.
