Commercial Property Claims Examiner - Property & Casualty Insurance
Remote but must be in NYC.
About the RoleHandle commercial property claims by investigating losses; managing and controlling independent adjusters and experts; interpreting the policy to make proper coverage determinations; addressing reserves; writing coverage letter and reports; and providing good customer service. Assure timely reserving and handling of a claim from assignment to completion by investigating that claim and interpreting coverage. Manage independent adjusters and experts. Inside desk adjusting role – 100% Remote for now – NYC based.
Responsibilities- Manage and control independent adjusters and experts
- Interpret the policy to make proper coverage determinations
- Address reserves
- Write coverage letters and reports
- Assure timely reserving and handling of a claim from assignment to completion
- Manage independent adjusters and experts
- Bachelor’s degree is required
3-5 years of first party property claims handling is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is required
- Experience with Image Right is a plus
- Availability to work extended hours in a CAT situation
