Commercial Auto Liability Claims Examiner

Our client is seeking a Commercial Auto Liability Claims Examiner to join their growing NYC team. This individual will handle moderate to complex Commercial Auto Liability and Physical Damage claims from inception to close. This is a hybrid position with the ability to work remotely after training.

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve Commercial Auto and Physical Damage claims through closure.
• Review liability, assess damages, and determine appropriate claim strategies.
• Handle coverage analysis and issue coverage position letters as required.
• Establish timely and accurate reserves based on claim investigation and exposure.
• Collaborate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and vendors to move claims toward resolution.
• Communicate professionally with policyholders, claimants, and vendors to gather necessary documentation and provide updates.
• Maintain detailed and accurate claim files and contribute to periodic status reporting and internal documentation.

• 2 - 5+ years of commercial or personal auto liability claims handling experience.
• Ability to train and work out of our client's NYC office, as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable learning and using claims management software and related systems.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

• $60,000 - $75,000, depending on experience.
