Senior Claims Specialist, Excess Casualty

As an Excess Casualty Claims Handler, you will play a critical role in managing and resolving XL's claims for the Excess Casualty team. You will work closely with your manager and fellow Claims Handlers to drive files to resolution and will interact and collaborate frequently with Regional Practice Leaders and the Underwriting team. Together, you will be tasked with achieving the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients by resolving and settling claims proactively.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Managing assigned claims across multiple jurisdictions and investigating and evaluating liability and damages, including causation and risk transfer opportunities as well as setting the case strategy for these claims in partnership with Regional Practice Leaders and Claims management.
• Analyzing the scope and extent of available coverage to the facts of each claim under the terms of the AXA XL policy and obtaining coverage determination of underlying carriers.
• Establishing and maintaining close communications with underlying carriers and defense counsel, providing input and direction as warranted, to protect the interests of the insured
