Customer Service​/Sales Representive

Job Description

Minnick Family Agency is a growing insurance agency in the Albany area, and we're adding a customer service representative to our team. A New York Property & Casualty license is preferred, but we'll consider the right candidate who isn't licensed yet. Unlicensed candidates must get their license at their own expense before their start date.

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers. You'll help them with policy changes, billing questions, and coverage needs, and you'll set life insurance appointments for our life team along the way. This is a great fit for someone who is friendly, organized, and takes pride in taking care of people.

Answer inbound calls, emails, and walk-ins in a friendly, professional way

Process policy changes such as adding vehicles, drivers, and coverage updates

Help customers with billing questions, payments, and account issues

Review customers' current coverage and spot gaps or opportunities

Set life insurance appointments for our life team with the customers you help

Refer sales opportunities to our producers

Keep accurate notes and records in our agency management system

Follow up on outstanding items so nothing slips through the cracks

Customer service experience preferred, especially in insurance, banking, or another office setting

Friendly, patient, and confident on the phone

Organized, detail-oriented, and good at juggling multiple tasks

Coachable, with a strong work ethic

Comfortable with computers and learning new software

High school diploma or equivalent
