Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to provide customer solutions, act as a liaison, maintain an understanding of company processes, and provide products and services to meet the needs of each customer.

Responsibilities include servicing and processing a book of business; quoting, requesting and processing new and renewal policies, endorsements, audits including audit disputes, cancellations and reinstatements; remarketing of accounts; creating proposals; certificates of insurance as well as account‑rounding. This role supports the efforts of our agency sales team.

• New York Property & Casualty license preferred or must be able to pass employer‑paid state insurance licensing course and exam
• Prior customer service experience of at least two (2) years
• High school diploma
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to help customers with their insurance needs
• Ability to maintain professional and courteous communication at all times
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
• Focused, productive, and accountable with an attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to learn and become proficient in customer relationship management software
