A leading global captive insurance solutions provider is seeking an Insurance Executive for its Cayman Islands office. This is a consulting, advisory, and managerial position responsible for a portfolio of captive insurance and reinsurance entities.
You will act as the primary contact and technical resource for clients, brokers, regulators, and internal teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery and regulatory compliance.
We will count on you to:- Manage the full (re) insurance renewal process in a timely manner
- Issue and input (re) insurance contracts, policy wordings, and endorsements
- Lead strategic input into program structure, design, and analysis
- Oversee claims processing, reviews, and resolution
- Ensure regulatory compliance and interact with regulators to support business changes
- Act as Client Executive for nominated clients
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, service providers, and accounting colleagues
- Negotiate fees and management agreements
- Serve as a technical resource and provide insurance training to colleagues
- Monitor developments in the insurance, reinsurance, and captive marketplace
- Internationally recognized insurance/risk qualification
- ACII or CPCU - REQUIRED - Minimum 7 years of (re) insurance experience, ideally including captive management
- Minimum 7 years of recent experience building customer relationships in an insurance management / client services role
- Strong knowledge of captive and (re) insurance policy and agreement structures
- Working knowledge of investment and insurance accounting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage own workload, multitask under pressure, present at meetings overseas, and lead client/prospect meetings
- 3+ years of recent supervisory or management experience
- Experience in an insurance regulatory environment
