Personal Lines Account Manager

Our client, an established independent insurance agency, is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join their team. This individual will manage a book of personal lines business, build strong client relationships, and provide knowledgeable, responsive service to clients and carrier partners.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands personal lines insurance, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and takes ownership of their accounts from day one.

• Manage and service an assigned book of personal lines accounts
• Handle policy changes, renewals, endorsements, certificates, billing questions, and other client requests
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance carriers
• Review policies and coverage to identify potential gaps or additional needs
• Prepare renewal information and assist with remarketing when appropriate
• Communicate with carriers regarding underwriting, coverage, and policy issues
• Assist clients with claims-related questions and coordinate with carriers when necessary
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the agency management system
• Provide a high level of service while managing multiple accounts and priorities

• 3+ years of personal lines insurance experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of personal lines products, coverage, and terminology
• Experience working with an independent insurance agency preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned accounts
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• NY Active Property & Casualty insurance license required
