Senior Discovery Counsel

As a part of our Discovery team, you’ll help provide legal support for all our products and businesses. We are looking for a discovery counsel with great judgment and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to drive complex discovery strategy and lead programmatic solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has significant experience in discovery management, litigation and operational execution. This role requires a lawyer with highly efficient operational skills, risk management experience and the ability to strategically manage discovery end to end.

• 8+ years of in-house, law firm or vendor discovery experience, including significant experience leading complex discovery management in litigations and investigations.
• JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
• Strong technology interest and aptitude.
• Excellent operational, communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills

• Meaningful in-house or equivalent experience and experience managing discovery in litigation and regulatory investigations in a corporate setting.
• Ability to work independently and proactively to meet aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment, including managing and prioritizing deliverables with cross-functional teams
• Sound business judgment and ability to handle multiple wide-ranging matters, conflicting deadlines, while exploring new areas of expertise as business needs change
• Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues quickly and effectively in a positive and practical manner
• Interest in and ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and take ownership of projects while balancing time, quality, cost, and risk
• Ability to foster and facilitate teamwork by cultivating relationships, collaborating, and effectively communicating with teammates and cross-functional partners in the pursuit of team goals; shares information and supports others
• Maintain high ethical standards both personally and professionally; shows integrity and fairness in dealings with others; is reliable and trustworthy
• Demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, and ability to properly handle confidential and sensitive information

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $230,500 and $346,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
