FDI has acquired a land plot for the development of a new hyperscale Data Center and we are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to lead all legal aspects of the project.

The role reports to the Project Director and works closely with the project leadership, engineering, procurement, finance, real estate, compliance, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing legal aspects of large-scale construction projects and, in particular, in negotiating complex construction, supply and commercial contracts with focus on allocation of risk, continuity, and remedies across large-scale project phases.

Requirements:

  • Law degree (qualified practice law in Spain). Additional specific studies or postgraduate studies in construction law and/or energy law will be positively valued.
  • Minimum demonstrable experience of 3-6 years of legal experience, preferably in in‑house roles or at law firms advising on large‑scale infrastructure, energy or data centre projects.
  • Demonstrable track record in projects involving power procurement, grid connection, EPC contracts, or large‑scale construction.
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating EPC, O&M, supply, and utility agreements, and managing claims and variations.
