Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab on a supervised fine-tuning (SFT) initiative to improve how models process legal texts. We’re seeking legal professionals to craft high-quality prompts and gold-standard answers across a range of legal materials, including contracts, regulations, and case law. This contract opportunity focuses on clause-level interpretation, reference tracking, and compliance logic. Compensation is $95/hour.

• Analyze legal documents including contracts, statutes, and case law.
• Author high-quality answers demonstrating accurate legal reasoning.
• Focus on core sources such as statutes, contracts, white papers, and case law.
• Ensure clarity, precision, and instructional value in each prompt/answer pair.

• J.D. or equivalent legal education.
• 2+ years of experience in legal analysis, drafting, or regulatory work.
• Strong legal writing and comprehension skills.
• Familiarity with contract clauses, exceptions, and inter-sectional references.

• Remote and asynchronous – set your own hours.
• Flexible commitment depending on your availability.
• Short-term contract with opportunity to support additional SFT work.

• $95/hour for services rendered.
• Independent contractor status.
• Weekly payments via Stripe Connect.
